One-way thrust tapered roller bearings are composed of a shaft washer, a housing ring, and a cage assembly with tapered rollers, which can withstand high axial forces in a single direction and cannot withstand radial forces. Thrust tapered roller bearings are highly rigid due to the large number of tapered rollers running on bearing washers with tapered raceways. These bearings are not self-retaining, so the bearing washer and roller cage assemblies can be mounted separately.
